Currently there are different services and applications that allow us to save the contents of a website on your mobile device so you can read comfortably later. We show the main.
Pocket
Pocket is an online service, formerly known as Read It Later , which allows us to store the contents of a link. When you access a website and see that the content we are interested will be able to save by Pocket for later reading. There are currently over 300 applications compatible with Pocket third.
The first thing to do is to have account with Pocket. We can create it for free on the web getpocket.com , there we created our own. Once created will download the free app from the app store for iOS or Google . There is also a version for Kindle Fire .You can also install an extension for your browser .
We introduce data access and everything us to add to the computer we will have available in the mobile and vice versa. There are two more ways to submit an article to our own Pocket, using email.
Since Pocket preferences you can confirm your email address. From there all you command them to add@getpocket.com address is added to your account. Great, is not it? All our links storage will be available and we will not lose any content that interests us .
Another option is Evernote notebook personal notes which we discussed in Technology You to You. With Evernote we will be able to perform the same action with Pocket. The advantage is that you can then edit, annotate or further action with Pocket.
To save a web extension simply install Evernote Web Clipper that we can absolutely free download from the Evernote website to enable us to capture from your browser. Then install the application for our Smartphone or Tablet and ready, we can have all our notes on the mobile.
Reading List
Since OS X Lion, Safari incorporates a new feature called Reading List. A feature that allows you to store web pages and links that we want to visit later, even without being connected to internet .
In the upper left corner we will see an icon of a pair of glasses from which to activate the reading list. If you click a panel where all stored websites appear unfolds. If we want to save the current page click on Add.
We will create a file with all the content you can see even when we have internet. The advantage is that, thanks to sync with iCloud, will have Reading List also on our iOS devices automatically.
Findings
There are many more ways to store a website and can then read from your mobile or tablet. For us using Pocket and Evernote are those that work best. The option to reading list is amazing but OS X is limited to that platform.
The important thing is that now you know some options and how. It's just worrying.Never ye return to peder information that interests you, can read quietly on your smartphone or tablet, or on the way home from the comfort of the couch.
